Popular South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu got separated from her husband Naga Chaitanya in 2021. The ex-couple, who got married in 2017, announced their separation via a joint statement on social media. Recently, Samantha made headlines after she was spotted flaunting her old ‘Chay’ tattoo that she got for Naga at the promotions of Citadel in London. Now, a picture of the actress wearing ‘Mangalsutra’ after her divorce has gone viral on social media.

This picture is from her upcoming film 'Kushi' where she will be seen romancing South heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda. On the occasion of Samantha’s birthday, the makers treated fans with a new poster of the film and it showed the actress donning mangalsutra. In the poster, the Oo Antava  girl is seen beaming with joy and she looks beautiful in a blue kurta and jeans. The poster went viral within hours of its release. Last year, Samantha and Naga left everyone shocked as they announced ending their marriage after 4 years. The statement read, “We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers, and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thank you for your support.”
Talking about her separation, Samantha had told Filmfare that she thought she would crumble and die after her separation, but she is proud to find out how strong she has become.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is rumoured to be dating actor Sobhita Dhulipala.
